Rick Cole received an appreciation award from the Guidelines Working Group for his accomplishments in (a) encouraging the Volume 3 re-organization; (b) writing the new Volume 3, chapter 2; and (c) providing editorial input to Volume 3, chapters 3 and 7.


Larry Gintert
Appreciation Award

Larry is another long time contributor to CMH Handbook 17 who has significant contributions across the Handbook. He initially joined the Handbook when he was working for Dow UT. He attended his first meeting to present the information on the high-performance Resin Transfer Molding process developed by Dow-UT. Through the years he has continued to write and guide many efforts, but most recently he stepped forward to incorporate useful information from Mil Handbook 23 concerning sandwich structures into the CMH-17. This appreciation award recognizes the progress toward completion of the new Volume 6 of the Polymer Matrix Composites Handbook.


Dana Granville
Appreciation Award

Dana Granville was presented with an Appreciation mug for his leadership of the Specialized Data Development Working Group, and also for his prolonged commitment to CMH-17 after retiring from his position as Handbook Director.


John Moylan

The Testing Working Group of the Composite Materials Handbook recognizes Mr. John Moylan for his excellent service to the Testing Working Group through his consistent and long-term support of the Working Group, and his significant advancements to the content of the handbook. In recognition of these achievements this mug is presented as a token of our appreciation.


Dan Ruffner
Appreciation Award

Dan Ruffner is a long time contributor to CMH Handbook 17, who has been a mainstay and primary author within the Materials and Processes Working Group. He has also been a major contributor to the Statistics Working Group. Since the PMC Coordination Meeting in Miami, Dan has taken on the responsibility for drafting the P-17 Common Material Specification for Unidirectional Carbon Tape Prepreg. Development of this specification, now in revision 9 (almost 10) is a major initiative for CMH-17 and represents a significant step forward in enhancing the utility of Handbook data. This appreciation award is presented in recognition of Dan’s contributions to this ambitious undertaking.
