I am pleased to make this presentation of the Distinguished Service Award to Steve Ward. Steve has been involved in CMH-HDBK-17 for many years and has participated in Data Review, Statistics, Sandwich, and other Working Groups. He is currently the co-chair of the Guidelines Working Group. Steve has been very much involved as both an author and a reviewer. In the Data Review and Statistics working groups, he has made significant contributions to moving the data analysis methodology forward. As a reviewer, Steve has consistently offered constructive comments on Yellow Page items. Steve sets an exceptional example of substantive participation and dedication to the Handbook. Steve, it is with pleasure that I present this award to you.
