Dan Ruffner is a long time contributor to CMH Handbook 17, who has been a mainstay and primary author within the Materials and Processes Working Group. He has also been a major contributor to the Statistics Working Group. Since the PMC Coordination Meeting in Miami, Dan has taken on the responsibility for drafting the P-17 Common Material Specification for Unidirectional Carbon Tape Prepreg. Development of this specification, now in revision 9 (almost 10) is a major initiative for CMH-17 and represents a significant step forward in enhancing the utility of Handbook data. This appreciation award is presented in recognition of Dan’s contributions to this ambitious undertaking.
