Ronald Krueger, Appreciation Award

March 2011, Kansas City, MO

Larry Ilcewicz presented an Appreciation Award to Ronald Krueger on behalf of CMH-17.  Dr. Ronald Krueger has worked hard supporting both the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Committee D-30 on Composite Materials and the Composites Materials Handbook (CMH-17) for many years. In March 2005 he was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by ASTM Committee D30 on Composite Materials for his outstanding effort as Chairman of the Workshop on Computational Fracture Mechanics held in Salt Lake City in March 2004.

Ronald is currently (since 2007) serving as co-chair for the CMH-17 Disbonding and Delamination Task Group. In this role he has contributed to the development and organization of several CMH-17 sections relating to delamination that appear in the latest revision G of the handbook. In addition, he is currently coordinating participants for an international working group to address the technical safety issues associated with skin-to-core disbonding of composite honeycomb sandwich structure used in critical aerospace applications.  Ronald has been both a reliable team player and strong team leader for ASTM D-30 and CMH-17 to advance the missions of both organizations, depending on the particular technical needs.
